Dani Higareda

Major Representative: Marine biology

Daniela would describe herself as authentic, resilient, and resourceful. She prefers to face challenges head-on and finds creative ways to overcome obstacles. Although she struggled as a freshman, she now understands what it takes to help others build resilience when school becomes overwhelming. Daniela hopes to be a source of encouragement and guidance, supporting others in achieving their goals both in SEA and at UCSD.

Through her studies, she hopes to one day pursue a master’s degree and work in marine conservation. She is eager to explore opportunities in marine ecology labs where she can contribute to better understanding and protecting the ocean. As a climate change studies minor, she is also interested in climate policy and in protecting Earth’s most vulnerable habitats.
